About Shelley Faith

Band Interests:

I enjoy writing, recording and performing in and around the greater Madison area. I love the people I meet and the connections I've made. I enjoy catching live shows every chance I get - taking in Madison's amazing talent. In addition to the music...I am a wife and mother of two. I can't get enough of my kids...now 12 and 14. I take every opportunity to be involved, while they'll still have me..lol We enjoy family activities such as boating, camping, and hiking. My husband and I enjoy the open road and hop on the motorcycle every chance we can to soak up a great day. I also enjoy trying new things...sometimes things that scare me a bit. Like skydiving and whitewater rafting.

Biography:

I grew up in Bellbrook, OH, a small town just outside of Dayton. I moved up the the Twin Cities in '96, where I lived for twelve years before finally moving here, to Madison. I've been writing music most of my life..Finally, in high school - at the age of 17, I joined up in my first rock band. That was just the beginning. I have been in several bands over the years, including a popular acoustic trio in Dayton, OH (Howard & the Honeydoos), and an established variety rock band (WIndjammer) in Minneapolis. I absolutely love the comradery of bandmates; However, I decided to go it alone as a solo artist, promoting my own original style and songwriting. The making of my first project "Dreamfield" at Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, MN was an amazing experience. I launched the cd with a party in Minneapolis as well as my home town of Bellbrook, OH. I've been selling my cd on the itunes, cdbaby, amazon, as well as some local stores in the Madison area. Since moving here to Madison and "re-launching" this project, starting over completely as a new local artist, I've found steady work and I'm having a GREAT time here in MadTown!!! The support here is amazing. Singer/songwriters have so much room to grow here and I've felt so welcomed in my new surroundings. In fact, I've had the wonderful opportunity to be a guest on WORT.FM on the "Diaspora" show (Aug.14th), as well as WIBA-AM (Sept.19th) "Out of the Box" with Mitch Henck. Those were incredible experiences! I was also very honored to have taken part in Madison's '08 Women Rock for the Cure and Stoughton's Race for the Cure '09. Currently, I am working on my second cd, which I hope to have released by the summer of 2010. I'm excited to be moving forward - making connections, putting my roots into the Madison area, and meeting such interesting and amazing people along the way. Madison holds an incredible bunch of talented folks...I'm so thrilled to be apart of the growing music scene here. In addition to being a musician, I'm a wife and mother of two!
